Comedy for country clubs, member events and golf tournaments

A comedy show your members are in, not just at.

Two solo sets, then an interactive hour. Your members write in the questions, and there's plenty of chance to join in from the floor. Relationship trouble, marriage advice, and whatever happened on the back nine.

The interactive set is why you book this act.

The matching shirts were not planned. Somehow that makes it worse.

Most comedy is something your members watch. This is something they're in.

The centerpiece is an interactive set. Your members write questions on cards over dinner, and Doug and Teresa build the hour around whatever comes in: relationship trouble, marriage advice, and whatever happened on the back nine, which at a club is usually the same story told two ways.

It's their show, and fourteen years of their own material runs through it. But the room gets pulled in throughout, with plenty of openings for members to chime in, push back, or land a better line than either of them.

And there's a putter on stage. When a couple can't agree on how something actually went, whose fault the three-putt was, who said what on the seventh tee, they settle it in front of everybody. One putt. The winner's version becomes the official record.

Which means the show is partly about your members, performed in front of your members, in a room where everybody already knows everybody.

No two shows are ever the same, because no two rooms are. The couple celebrating forty years at table six changes the night. So does the man who submits a question about his wife's short game.

90 minutesThe full evening. Solo sets from each of them, Teresa first, then the interactive hour together.
60 minutesThe middle option. Shorter solo sets, full interactive centerpiece.
45 minutesFor tournament dinners and events with a program, so your raffle, auction and awards still have room.

You set the tone. Then your members do.

Fourteen years of working every kind of room means the show flexes. Tell us where your club sits and we'll hit it.

Clubhouse clean

Junior members present, three generations at one table, board members you'd rather not surprise. Nothing you'd hesitate to print in the newsletter.

Grill room

The default, and what most clubs want. Adult, married, honest about marriage. Roughly what your members say to each other at the bar on a Friday, delivered better.

After dark

Gloves off. Late member events, couples nights that have already had two rounds, and clubs that specifically ask. Plenty do.

Worth knowing before you book. The interactive hour runs on cards your members write, so your audience gets a vote in where the night goes, and they usually take it. Doug and Teresa read the room and go where it wants to go. If you need a ceiling the audience can't move, say so when you book and it will hold no matter what comes in on the cards. No director should be surprised in their own dining room.

Chambers Bay, WashingtonDoug wanted proof of how long the round took. The clock was happy to help.

She broke 100 in her first year. He's been playing forty and is still chasing 80.

The gap is closing faster than he would like, and yes, it comes up in the show.

Where this fits on your calendar

Wolf Creek, UtahHe used to have to build a case for new irons. Now he finds out about hers when they arrive.

A married comedy duo is not right for every tournament. It's exactly right for the ones where spouses are in the room.

  • Couples tournaments. Every team is a marriage that just spent four hours under competitive pressure. By dinner the material has written itself.
  • Member-guest closing dinners. The golf is for the players. The dinner is for the couples, and half the room didn't play.
  • Women's tournaments and ladies' member-guest. Teresa came to golf as an adult and broke 100 in her first year, which is exactly what most of the field is living. Not the pro. Them, with a microphone.
  • Charity tournaments. Your donors are couples, your auction needs energy, and the on-course hole is sponsorable.
  • Invitationals and season-ending banquets. A show gives you an event instead of a ceremony.

What doesn't fit: a men's-only stag scramble with no spouses present. The act will work, but you're buying the wrong show. Tell us and we'll say so.

Tee to Trophy

Start-line emcee to set the tone, then a 45 minute show at the awards dinner when everyone is fed, happy and finally sitting still.

Forty-five minutes is deliberate. Your program still has raffle draws, the auction and awards to get through, so the show lands hard and gets off.

Golf season ends. Date night doesn't. The same evening, priced for the months when your ballroom is quiet and your food and beverage numbers need a reason for members to come in. Pairs with a prix fixe dinner so the club earns on covers as well as tickets.

Your event, our show

Doug and Teresa run a production company making humorous, high-converting ads for YouTube and Meta. Which means they can do what most comedians can't: use humor to deliver your message, not just their own.

$7,500 – $15,000

Add-ons

A room that played together at four is a different room at eight. Get your members on the course together first and half the night's material has already happened to them by the time the show starts. Bolt any of these onto a booking above. Most clubs take two.

The Roast Hole, or the Boast Hole

A par 3, a canopy, a PA, and two comedians. Every group plays through, and nobody plays through quietly.

Roast is the ribbing version: live commentary, unsolicited advice, and a tally of which spouse is in charge. Boast is the hype version: walk-up introductions and a crowd reaction for a six-foot putt. Nobody is the punchline.

Sponsorable, which means it can pay for itself. Needs a shotgun start. Pace of play stays sacred.

$1,500 – $2,500

Play a round with us

Raffle or auction item. Three winning couples join Doug and Teresa for four couples, alternate shot, nine holes or eighteen.

You sell three spots instead of one, or auction the group as a package. Alternate shot means nobody has to be good, and eight people leave with the story instead of two.

Played the day of the show or the following morning.

No fee. The club keeps every dollar.

The couples nine

We help your club run a twilight couples event before the show. Evening shotgun, nine holes, alternate shot two-ball, with four couples to a group. Eight players per tee, so the field is social from the first shot and everyone finishes together.

Bigger groups also mean you can host twice the members on nine holes as you'd fit in a conventional field.

We build the event with your team: format, pairings, prizes, the run of the evening. On the day we emcee it, send the field off, work the groups on the way round, and bring everyone in to dinner and the show.

Your pro shop handles tee sheets and handicaps. We handle everything that makes it feel like an event rather than a tee time.

$2,500 – $3,500Half a day on top of the show

Emcee and auction host

They're already miked and the room is already warm. A comedian running the paddle raise reliably out-earns a board member with a clipboard.

Covers awards, raffle draws and the live auction.

$750 – $1,500

The house opener

Ten minutes written for your club specifically. The founding story, the blind par 3 everybody complains about, the greens committee, the member everyone knows.

We ask for a short call with someone who knows the club's lore. It is the single biggest laugh of most nights.

$500

Fill the room

A short promo video your club emails to members to drive attendance, made by our production company, with your date and logo on it.

Cheaper than an empty ballroom, and yours to reuse for the next event.

$650

Content capture

We film the night properly and hand you the footage: short vertical clips for your club social accounts, plus stills.

Most clubs have nothing showing members enjoying themselves. This fixes that in one evening.

A club day that works

Golf at four, dinner at six, show at seven. Put two or three of these together and one booking becomes a full club day. Steal the schedule.

Twilight nine. Play a Round winners with Doug and Teresa.
Cocktails, bar open.
Dinner served. Cards and pens on every table.
Show. 90 minutes for a standalone member night.
Bar stays open. It will be busy.

One scheduling note that matters. At tournaments, put the show before the raffle and awards, not after. A warm room bids higher and stays seated. A room that already has its trophies starts collecting jackets.

What we need from you

She has the ball, the tee and the glove on. He has the camera.

  • Sound system with two wireless handheld microphones, or we'll bring ours
  • A defined performance area with the room seated and facing it
  • Show after dinner service is cleared, or between courses
  • Run time anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes, built around your program
  • Travel and lodging for two. If the club has RV sites with hookups, that sometimes works instead and we'll say so when we book
  • One round of golf for two, including cart, day of the show or the following morning, subject to availability and club policy

That last one matters to us more than almost anything else on the list. Getting to play courses like yours is a good part of why we built this tour, and it's usually the easiest thing on a rider for a club to say yes to.

Two-night neighbor rate. If there's a club within a couple of hours of you, talk to them. Any two clubs that book consecutive nights each take 20% off. We're already in the area, so it costs us nothing and saves you both. Introduce us to the club down the road.

Book the show

Tell us your date, your room, and roughly how many people. You'll have a straight answer within 48 hours.

Or email teresa@theheandsheshow.com directly. Most clubs set their following-year member calendars in the fall, so if you're building 2027, this is the moment.
